Can one cracked tile be replaced?
Usually, yes. The grout around it is cut out, the broken tile is removed without damaging its neighbors, and a new tile is set and grouted. The hard part is a match: leftover tiles from the original job are best, so check the garage or attic first. If there are none, Ramzi helps you find the closest match.
Why is my tile loose or hollow?
A tile that sounds hollow when tapped has lost its bond underneath. On a wall, especially in a shower, that can mean water is getting behind it, and the area is opened up to check before anything is reset. On a floor, loose tiles are lifted, cleaned and reset.
Re-grouting: when grout is cracked or crumbling
Cracked or missing grout lets water into the wall or floor behind the tile. The old grout is ground out, the joints are cleaned, new grout goes in and is sealed once it cures. It’s one of the most useful small repairs in an older shower.
Common tile repairs
- Cracked or chipped floor and wall tiles
- Loose and hollow tiles reset
- Cracked, crumbling or stained grout re-grouted

- Tile around a new toilet, vanity or fixture
How much does tile and grout repair cost in Atlanta?
It depends on how many tiles or how much grout, whether matching tile is on hand, and what the area behind the tile looks like once it’s opened.
Small jobs like this usually fit inside a Honey-Do Day: $350 for a half day (4 hours) or $600 for a full day (8 hours), and the rest of your list can go in the same visit.
Every price depends on the job and can change once Ramzi sees it. Text Ramzi a few photos for the final price, agreed before any work starts. Estimates are free.
Handyman jobs only: small fixes, adjustments and installs like mounting a TV, fixing a sticky door, hanging shelves and furniture assembly. These rates are for one person working alone. If the job needs more than one person, the price will change.
